Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Critiques
The model is lovely and manages to evoke the character without being self-conscious or awkward. A very delicate balance achieved here... too little characterization wouldn't sell the idea... too much would be silly.
The hair, all the wardrobe elements, the fence, the grass, the well-modeled key light contrasting against the beckoning sky... it all works.
Fabulous touch with the large shoe.. truly contributes to the avian effect as do the feathered sleeves...
The monochrome treatment and the low-contrast vignette lend a vintage air to the image... yet the piece retains a very contemporary, very smart, too-cool-for-commercial quality.
Well done, intelligent, emotional, inspiring work. Five stars.
