Daily DeviationGiven 2009-11-01Let me be your wings by =MissHeroin I will these to the words of the suggester, "Love the black&white, with the soft sepia tone, which gives the photo a vintage feeling. her makeup and styling fit this vintage style too! the editing is wonderful and I really like the way she captured the model: as if she was in motion and time stood still for a moment. It could be a scene from an old movie. love it a lot." (Suggested by *chulii and Featured by ^orangefruits) Commentsfirst off, I must say that Thumbelina is exactly what i thought of when i read the title. It is a very good movie. Secondly, I must say that this is quite a beautiful shot.

for 'vision' i have given FULL MARKS. there is so much attention to detail here - from the styling and artistic use of text embedded and ghost exposure beneath the original; to the tendrils of windswept hair and DOF. to have to foresight to envisage this and then recreate it is genius and visionary. the result is impeccable. so unusual and so beautiful.
for 'originality' i have awarded 4 as there are so many black n white vintage style fashion portraits of pretty girls in Deviant Art - but not many of this high standard, hence the 4 as opposed to 3.
for 'technique' i have to award FULL MARKS... this is flawless. absolutely flawless.
for 'impact' i have again awarded FULL MARKS - this is one of the most beautiful images i have seen in Deviant Art for a long time. and it has opened my eyes to an amazing photographer - with (having looked through her gallery) seemingly infinite talent and creativity.
very very beautiful. congratulations on the Daily Deviation for this too. wonderful!
